@totalgenius72 Almost, and close but no cigar both just mean no. They mean that it was almost yes, but it was instead no, not that it is in someway both yes and no. Maybe means that it possibly one or possibly the other, not that it is both but rather that one or the other is correct but hasn't been demonstrated as such yes. Kind of and sort of, however, I would totally agree with as involving both yes and no at once.

I'm not sure if you still read comments on videos this old, John, but a few words in the English language that encompass both "yes" and "no" include "maybe", "kind of", "almost", "sort of", and "close but no cigar".
