@winnabego i think your Receiver may be the issue. i dont know i never lost signal on my cub and less even when i upgraded to brushless and used my futaba RX/TX from stock fm radio. i did also crash bose fisrt from about 80 feet. but since i had a different motor and mount (not stock) all i did was pust the firewall back (rplaced and fixed) and oblitirated the cowling and bent the gear. easy fix :)

@stormranger6 my tough as nails lp cut signal and did a header into the hard ground,. sent the gearhousing right through the plastic firewall. JOY! this was a bad purchase.

@winnabego the supercub is tough as nails. it can take a lot of damage. see my other videos. just dont nose it in and break the propeller, so if you are unable to land it in any grass just cut off the throttle completely at the last second and flare.

@stormranger6 its only a 4chan remote. and the antenna is out of the way.i only needed to bind my remote with the cub for the first flight. i am afraid to land it in anything but tall grass right now in fear of shredding it to pieces. now the champ, i can catch it everytime.

@winnabego maybe the solder point is being stressed. try running the wite along the fuselage and tape it down with a snmall amount of clear packing take in a couple of spots so to keep the antenna from drangling. also have you checked your receiver for brown out? i think i read somewhere that spektrum 6ch rx are prone to this. are you using the same RX from the cun on the champ? or are you using two seperate RX binded to one TX?

@stormranger6 i just used some thin gauge wire and soldered it to the gray lead ant. wire. it just dangles out the bottom of the plane. it maybe adds 3grams of weight at 18 inches. the remote works flawless with the hobbyzone champ. but when the cub stalls after going full throttle, it takes 2-3 seconds of airtime to start the prop back in flight or else it eats dirt. i want to love this f**king plane. i am using the spektrumII digital remote

@winnabego only 700 feet? where do you have the receiver antenna set up . the TX batteries should help, but if new batts are still not helping maybe the placement of your RX antenna. i set this cub up with a futaba 7c ,2.4 tx/rx

excellent color! nice and visible. my first flight with the lp and the range cuts out at about 700ft, fresh AAs in the remote, 12.56v onboard battery. would adding a longer antenna benefit?

@shalomjj thanks. i used rostoleum sunburst. make sure you spray light coats at least 7-12 inches away or the foam will be damaged. also do not paint the light foam that is used on the lower body underside. then i used 3m super packing tape to cover the body . since this video the plane has taken some abuse and may need a repaint.
