Post asserts that we need to stop rallying around individuals and start rallying around causes. Rather than continue to speak about MJ's past, we need to do specials about the dangers of presciption drugs to young people. Rather than rallying around Dr. Gates and turning the officer into a celebrity like Joe the Plumber, we need to focus on real education on racial profiling on both sides. We are losing valuable teachable moments by focusing on individuals and not causes and the next generation is missing valuable teaching moments.
Yeah, you're right. It's stupid that they don't teach us about the danger of prescription drugs. Does anyone any care that my generation is dying off by the dozens?

"they want to arrest michael jackson doctor but not the people who really are responsible (FDA) for actually making & aproving these killer drugs for people to use."...................WTF are you talking about? The drugs Jackson was using are common operating room drugs for hospital settings. You don't get a prescription and go to Walmart to pick it up. It was aquired illegally by his cardiologist.

Sorry, my man, but "racial profiling" can only be asserted in acts such as traffic stops. It does not apply to police responding to a potential burglary in progress.

There's "much education that needs to be done on both sides" but both sides are to busy defending their side and attacking the other.

Thank you. So many conscious people at least when you lok at youtube, facebook, etc. run from one individual and one incident to the other. I mainly ignore it, just as I have ignored the whole Michael Jackson frenzy.
It's actually like an addict mentality, always looking for the next high instead of building consistent, concerted action.

I think the cop that made the arrest, should be fired,to show all cops that they need to think first, before they arrest someone for a stupid reason.
