The Penn coach yard chimney better known as the Drexel Shaft, finally meets it's end. In physical form anyway. I got caught off guard with the initial explosion, so it's not here unfortunately.

  • check out the shock wave hitting the cira center as the shaft hits the ground...awesome

  • Yeah, that is pretty slick, to bad I started the recording later. Because the wave from the actual charges was ALOT stronger than what you saw from the chimney falling. Wall of air seems like the best way to describe it.

  • They did an awesome job of laying it right on top of the Pullman building. I'll miss the Shaft, though!

  • Thanks for posting this. We noticed the Shaft was missing on our walk along the Schuylkill trail this morning. Glad to be able to see its demise.
