Is Your Religion Peaceful?

An exploration of the effects religion has on our world. Can you imagine how things would be different without religion? Religion motivates a lot of the death and horror we've seen in the history of our species. Just do a search on "peaceful religion" on google. It's nearly impossible to find anything that isn't about how islam is NOT a peaceful religion. I'm not so convinced many of the religions in the world are peaceful at all. Look at the statistics, look at the death and wars around us.

@demonseed19 Bin laden’s terror on the US is because of political reasons, including US foreign policy towards the Middle East as well as the US military presence in the gulf along with controlling the oil. Whether Islam exists or not Al Qaida will still attack the US one way or another. Islam is used as a tool or more precisely as a weapon and unfortunately it came out to be very effective. Let’s not forget that the US trained and gave weapons to Al Qaeda during the 70s to fight the Russians.

Do I go on? Some estimate that over 262 million people were killed by governments during the twentieth century.

I don't think all the previous centuries put together compare with that record.
