  • I said, Africans should be proud to be African and stop emulating fake ass American Gangsters....how the hell is that criticizing your people?????

I tell American blacks to stop following these fake ass American wannabe gangsters as well...this is not about being critical to anyone, its about people loving and being themselves...

  • @SuperQueenofAfrica i tried but you have a friend lock so that's why I suggested you PM me..

  • @BlacksAreBeautiful well, there are different types of nigerian films but i will fill you in if you pm me

  • @SuperQueenofAfrica Nice..I will...let me ask you. What is the deal with these "nollywood" movies. I recently watched two of them and they remind me of blaxploitation movies from the 70's. Also the two I watched happen to have some gay characters. I was puzzled because homosexuality had nothing to do with the story line (in one of them) so I was just wondering if you could shed some light on that...if you wish you can send me a personal msg since 500wds is not always enough.

  • the media just pushes the negative , violent black man culture in the west , so you EXPECT BLACKS TO BE JAILBAIT, and they do like to play that role to the hilt.. ITS not cool to want to be nerdish , its cool to be a street thuggery baby fathering craphead.. black girls think its what they ought to be running around with .. african kids who copy that style soon either grow out of it or they get an ass whooping from their parents.. big time!!

  • @BlacksAreBeautiful correct..! it is culture that will be our saviour , in nigeria although the propensity for the bad imitation fifty cents was all the rage in the up to recently now our youths are taking back their culture and claiming it , check out NAIJA BOYZ they REP NAIJA .. GO AND WATCH VIDEOS OF OUR YOUTH CELEBRATING NIGERIAN INDEPENDENCE IN NYC .. type "nigerian independence celebrations 2010 .. WE DO KNOW CULTURE but again our young do GROW OUT OF THAT RUBBISH , NEGATIVE IMAGES...

  • @SuperQueenofAfrica bless you sister...I'm from NY but I also live in the Bahamas. Same thing going on here too...Everybody trying to be JayZ or 50. it's wild. I recently visited Barbados and same thing. It's like no one takes pride of where they are from anymore, they all want to be from Brooklyn. Too much BET and the overglamorization of NEGATIVE black culture spreading all over the world.

  • @BlacksAreBeautiful I feel your comment its so true it pisses me off when i see young nigerians acting like they are straight out of "get rich or die trying " and whats more they are so BAD at it , awful when they do that crap but thankfully the market for those bad "crappers" is fading many of our young artists are now realising that there is no place like HOME when it comes to self expression. its what makes every culture UNIQUE.. to be true to its SELF AND ITS OWN ROOTS..
