on your video it gives the immpression that he lost the first battle with Luculus becouse the greek merceneries betrayed him and open the gates. wile maybe after the battle maybe this hapent, i dont know, Tigranes lost the battle becouse his elite forces, the Kataphrakts were in a bad position, witch Luculus take advantage and beat them (Plutarch) the fled of the Kataphrakts make his army collapse, since the infantry relie on the Kataphrakts to win the day. friendly greetings from Greece.

i think your wrong about the reason why Luculus lost his generaship of the east. the romans did not have heavy loses. the reason was that luculus as general of the ast, use his authorities to delete the taxes of the population of asia minor during the years of the last mithridatic war, becouse the land was waste and thousand was killed by both parties. that ofcourse make angree those who had interests from the taxes, and Pompey use it to take luculus place in general of the east
