"I visited Iran in 2006 while entertaining on a cruise ship that was touring The Middle East. The tour guide of our group, Sara, was a young and beautiful Iranian woman in her early 20s, full of spirit and hope. She loved her country, and was proud and excited to show her country to us. My private conversations with her, learning about what it was like to be a young woman living in Iran, inspired me to write my song, Behind The Veil. It is painful to watch the turmoil and bloodshed in Iran. Witnessing the fate of Neda, I cant help but think about Sara, who had a similar beauty, would be around the same age, and who was also a student with a passion for music, tourism and travel. My heart and prayers go out to the people in Iran. May peace return to their country soon. Behind The Veil was inspired by Sara, but its message is an Anthem for Neda." -Robyn McCorquodale
