@bjbjbzz we just rowed against you guys last weekend. We would of made finals if our 7 seat didn't catch a crab. I'm the stroke seat for Mainland Regional High School Freshman 8.

@twuzinkees then why weren't you there?

4's get no respect. its all about that 8's!!!!!

@twuzinkees what school dude? im gunna guess St Augustine? lol

@Mwh1t3 Well it is a club sport for most because of expenses. And thats very untrue, since we all start rowing freshmen year, we dont really see the true quality of guys until junior senior year. And to poach from other teams the kid would have to transfer and stuff and would make things much harder. And there's zero recruiting, unless you count trying to get my friends into it. like Prep just naturally have 50 kids a class, not cause of recruiting, they just wanted to try it out.

@bjbjbzz In that area I'm guessing that the high school prep school are basically club teams. I shouldn't be quoted but I'll put my money that those schools recruit hard and really poach the other teams for big guys they can turn into rowers. I think a club in an area like that would be hard pressed to find quality guys that turned down their school team
im from south jersey and we row like this. but were lights

@bjbjbzz depth of team my ass. We had 4 ltwts that year. stroke 5 3 and bow. We averaged 6:34. None of us were recuited. We rowed with precision and didn't want out first loss at the pinnacle of our season. True we get people from different highschools but not because we go to the schools and poach from other teams. 08 09 we were able to build speed.
