About my first steps with Blender : a simple quadruped walk cycle.
Still a bunch of ugly sliding keys at the feet and a messed up dopesheet but wathever, next time i'll spend more time doing a more handy rig insted of rushing into animation... anyways, sometimes you have to render something.
Modeling and texturing is based on a awesome tutorial by David Ward : http://www.youtube.com/user/ward7299.
You can find this particular tutorial at ww blendercookie dot com, just type "dragon" in the search field.
For the animation, i did'nt use this tutorial but took for reference the book of Richard Williams : "The animator's survival kit".
Compositing with after effects, to show the differents aspects of the process : rig, mesh, and render.

  • wich music did you use?

  • @WolfanoDelGrande It's a sound from the Youtube "Audioswap" service. I wish i could tell you the artist's name but i can't find it.

  • did you make the dragon and rig with the tutorials from blender cookie?

  • @d3sertst0rm Yes I did, I do mention it in the description. I didn't follow the animation tutorial though, since I prefered to animate it my way. I really like the tutorials by David ward.
