Listen to this song and compare it to "Won't You Let Me" by The Viletones. Eerily similar...both came out in '77, not sure on the exact dates to know which came out first. But DAMN are they nearly identical.

Look this up: Viletones -- Won't You Let Me. The similarity between the 2 songs is eerie.
No tribute, or covers, or half a..... band can ever re-create this, a moment in time still relevent. I missed the hay day of The Jam by a few years but i had older brothers who meticulously collected Jam releases and press cuttings. What a song writer and lyricists! How old was Weller when he wrote this, 18? I remember school lunch hour driving back on my Vespa, change books and stick a few Jam singles on the turntable just to keep the fire burning, we did'nt just listen to it, we lived it!
