Imo, Alton is the best cook on Food Network.
He talks about the food, not like some other chefs who are so exhausting to watch, talking a mile a minute about everything under the sun, running around the kitchen like it was an obstacle course, *cough cough *Rachel Rae*.cough cough* Then there are what I like to call the "garbage"shows where, somehow, a greasy hamburger , drizzled with cheese, is place between a sliced donut is supposedly delicious!!

It's funny that he say's Bobby Flay comes across on camera as "New York arrogant" but he's the nicest guy at the network. I was just watching Boy Meets Grill this evening and was thinking he looks like he would be a real a-hole. I'm glad to hear to the contrary.

Alton is maybe the last, best reason to keep watching Food Network. I don't care much at all for most of the shows the network folks have been pushing for the last few years (don't even get me started on Sandra "Aunt Sandy" Lee), but Good Eats is still a keeper.
