EN ROUTE - Sound Designer/Re-Recording Mixer
Presented is the plane crash scene from En Route. The film was mixed for 5.1 surround sound in ProTools 8.0 using a Digidesign ProControl with Edit and Mix Pack. The effects are a blend of original recordings and library effects.

KNOCK OUT - Sound Effects Editor
Presented is the opening of the short Knock Out. The effects were created through a mix of traditional editing in ProTools 8.0 and sampling in Reason 4. All of the ball hit effects were created by recording on the Foley stage and then mapping the recordings to a MIDI controller. The film was then played back in real time and the effects were performed to the picture using Reason for pitch shifting the hits as well as combining elements together through MIDI.

DEVIL IN THE DETAILS - Sound Effects Editor/Re-Recording Mixer
Presented is the gas station scene from Devil in the Details. This scene was required to be entirely rebuild in post production due the illness of one of the actors on set. All dialogue is ADR. It was also decided that the gas station needed a creepier feel to it. This also added to the decision to recreate the entire scene. Recordings of broken refrigerator motors and dying air conditioning units were cut in to make this scene feel creepier. Cold winds were used for the exterior to create the feeling of isolation. The film was mixed for 5.1 surround sound in ProTools 7.4 using a Digidesign ProControl with Edit and Mix Pack.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH - Dialogue Editor
Presented here is a scene from Neighborhood Watch. The scene is presented as before and after to showcase the editing that was done to the dialogue. The first clip presents the original production audio that was handed over from the picture editor. The second clip is the processed track. The Waves plug-ins X-Noise, X-Click, X-Hum and C4 were used for the dialogue edit. The opening line was cut in from alternate takes as well. All editing was done in ProTools 7.3.

THE MAN WHO WOULD NOT SHAKE HANDS - Sound Designer/Re-Recording Mixer
Presented here is the opening scene of The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands. The film was mixed for 5.1 surround sound in ProTools 7.3 using a Digidesign ProControl with Edit and Mix Pack.

PRE-SHOW - Sound Effects Editor/Re-Recording Mixer
Presented here is a clip from The Pre-Show a 2008 entry in the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker Award contest. The film was mixed in stereo in ProTools 7.4 using a Digidesign ProControl with Edit and Mix Pack. Every effect in the short is an original recording that was either recorded on set, on the Foley stage using the Digidesign Icon, or obtained through field recording.

PET PEEVE - Sound Effects Editor/Foley Recordist
Presented here is a clip from Pet Peeve. The effects are a mix of library effects and Foley effects recorded on the SCAD Foley stage using the Digidesign Icon and ProTools 7.4.
