instead of overclock a dual quad get a quad and overclock that. intel q6600 2.40ghz OCed to 3.02ghz time 4 is 12ghz of power. did you OC the memory?

you are wrong man, for games in general you need more 'Mhz ', no more 'cores' ;), and yes, memory are overclocked, but just a litle 800@900

Does the first level run at full speed? My specs are:

AMD Phenom X4 @ 3.2GHz

2x Corsair Dominator II 1024mb @ 1066Mhz

ATi Radeon HD4870 512mb

Asus M3A79-T Deluxe

The first level starts okay, but then the framerate drops when the first enemies show up on camera :S Then it keeps varying in speeds on certain areas. Is there a certain setting scheme you use?

when you get that kind of slowdown, press 'pause' and go back ingame. the speed will be normal again.

I do have 4gigs of ram and a radeon 4870 though.

i think that not full speed all the time, you need more cpu power, a stock phenom isn't enough :(

lol pcsx2 can run on a 2.12ghz dual core without any loss in gameplay speed..newest builds have speed improvements and bugs removed...you dont need a high end pc for running ps2 games...graphics card dont matter much cause gsdx requires more cpu not gpu..zerogs is the one that relies on gpu not cpu...but anyone with at least a dual core can play all games without problems and btw dead or alive 2 now goes in game newest build at emucr.com ;) and always updated daily to weekly basis :)

YOU STIIL NEED TO READ WHAT button does what anyway... so why avoiding the config?
