    BTW, in Yorkshire we often have the Yorkshire pudding as a starter with gravy before the main meal.

  • @sparkandflame Yeah, I reckon it depends on the dialect I don't know... I just try to say things right. I'm sick of being called a stupid American, when in fact I am way more up on other languages and cultures, not to mention geography, tham many other Americans. I have surprized many people on what I know about their culture. :-D They mostly say "You're American?" It's funny for me!!! :-D Anyway, back to food!!!

  • @Landotter1 York - CHER! lol as in Cher the singer Newhamp-cher .. thats how I pronounce "Shire" here in the Northwest UK :D

  • @Feisty1967 Im English and pronounce it as York - CHER pudding lol :) But but if we all want to get technical it is prnounced York-SHEER I have never actually heard it been called "York-SHIRE in the UK even though it is spelt that way, I guess it depends which part of the UK you are from with all the diff accents out there.

  • @Feisty1967 Not saying you are wrong but that's the way it sounds to me.. "Sure" maybe there are different dialects? I don't know.... How can I possibly argue? I'm not English.... Anyway, that's what it sounds like to me so....

  • @Landotter1 I am English and I think you will find it is pronounced York SHEER, NOT Yorksure. That makes  no sense at all. Ask any British person and they will tell you its YorkSHEER, THAT IS HOW IT IS PRONOUNCED.

  • @Lilaan The self raising flour already has the levening agent in it. You don't need any more.

  • @jonnyparkes6 Cherry pie or pecan pie for me!!!!! No horseraddish, please..... You forgot pancakes for breakfast. I like them either flat French (crepe) or fluffy American, but don't forget maple syrup and peanut butter on the American style and a healthy side of sausage.... Now that's breakfast bro!!! If not, hook me up with 4 eggs, over easy, hash-brown taters and a thick slab of honey cured ham or pea-meal bacon..... Now, I'm "starvin' Marvin"...,. woo-hoo!!!! Love English food!!!!
