  • That's exactly how it happened. Eno got into his time machine back in 1971, traveled to 2006, stole the idea of generative music from Nintendo, went back to 1971, and then recorded 35 years' worth of music ripping off a hand-held video game.

    Nintendo then stole time travel from Eno and went back to 1971 to sue him, but the court tossed out the suit on the technicality that the plaintiffs hadn't been born yet.

    It's all very complicated.
