@669studios - It should be clear to you that even though people like you and I want a quality silent hill game, the developers only care about making money, no matter how badly they ruin the series. It;s all about making money to them. Thats why Final Fantasy now sucks, Silent Hill, Metroid, Contra, all of it. I actually haven't played a decent game since Dead Space 2 (& I;m a hardcor gamer), and I'm sure Dead Space 3 will be a the beginning of sellout out and becoming trash as well.

@DarthYuYevon Actually the publishers only care about money, the goal of the developers is making the game. What's going on is that Konami who are the publishers own the rights to Silent Hill give out the franchise to random developers who have no buisness making a horror game which ends making the later games in the franchise kinda crap compared with the original ones made by Team Silent. I think if more effort was put in trying to find a good developer that would not be the case.

Also, you can't predict the whole game will suck just cause of ONE song that you can skip BEFORE the actual game plays out... Damn people are so pessimistic, its one thing after another!

Don't like the game, DON"T PLAY IT. Enough said, plus you are wrong about the 'action packed with horror elements' when Vatra THEMSELVES said "30% action 70% exploration, puzzles, atmosphere, story, and etc" so what gave you the clue it was going to be action packed? Also, the Vatra dev Brian Gomez KNOWS what he talks about when it comes to horror. It's all about dis-powering the player making them run from situations... If you haven't played it I suggest you not judge it til you have the chance

The Korn song won't be in the game. It'll just be in the menu and the advertisements, so who really cares?

I'm personally looking forward to Downpour, but I think most of us agree that Book of Memories is a complete joke. I'm a complete Silent Hill slut and I've always said I'd buy absolutely any game released in the series... but I think Book of Memories might actually be the first exception...

Also.. I do agree about the "book of memories" I honestly thought it was going to be a book about SH but yeah the game is a shitty waste of an RPG look alike that old and new fans of SH ain't so happy about.

The hd collection is a great idea, not forgetting to mention that it's been confirmed you can use the old voices on SH2 HD... But sadly not SH3 BUT! The games been pushed back to march... So fingers crossed they get the rights to re use the SH3 voices.... Ow yeah I will be getting Downpour

I do agree about the Korn intro... Part from that SH was going down hill after SH 2 anyway, team silent even admitted to that after SH4 the room.

Anyway this videos old and they've done some work on it, 70% puzzle and 30% combat sounds good to me and yeah they have made the fights more combo based... Why not? SH2 pissed me off with the one hit.. Then same hit again.. SH 4 nailed that combat but it was lacking the psychological horror that SH 2 and 1 had and SH3 was okayish....
