You get what you pay for. I imagine anything more complicated than a syringe and insulin bottle would just be more money out of my pocket.
I only do one shot a day so, while I admit that it's a little cumbersome, it's not really a problem.
I will check into it though. Doc is hinting that I'll start having to take a shot before meals soon.

I'm using a Humalog pen and I really like it, it's much more convenient than syringes. I need to check with the pharmacy and get a price difference. The insurance company will likely want me to cover the excess.
But yeah, they're great.

The first shot was the hardest. I was shaking like a crack addict and it looked more like I was giving a tattoo than injecting insulin :P

I make injection 5 times per day. It isn't painfull. It's nothing.

I take one a day, sometimes more, and I hate every single one of them. They say there are only a few nerves to hit in your belly, but I stab directly into one every time. :P I've been thinking of using my Humalog more and pigging out a little to gain some weight back, so I might be up to five eventually.
