Shiv linga is not a private part of man. Please do not misinterpret or believe what outsiders tell you.Shiva is shakti and represents the power of our mind and is reflected in the hindu temple construction,shiva linga is located in the garbagriha or the inner sanctum located in the centre of the temple thus representing our brain. During ancient times Munis and sages used Shiva linga as an object to concentrate upon to attain pure conciousness.
