@Xemk2143 The unfortunate thing is that he phrases better than he plays technically. People get easily distracted by his double-tonguing at 3000bpm to notice that he plays Rachmanninoff's Vocalise Op. 34, among other pieces, better than a lot of string players. He is one of a small group of tubists who can phrase like a virtuoso string player or vocalist.

@KauaiBallerof2012 Don't get me wrong. Roger Bobo is one of the best tuba players that have ever lived and has a huge impact on the tuba for everyone, but Patrick Sheridan is like no other, his Technical Playing is the best in my opinion.

Saw Pat Sheridan and S. Pilafian in concert last night. Unbelievable. And their laid-back improv style with random humor was fantastic. Awesome performance.
