Lol, well, you should trust the Ford engineers. :3 When it does shift from second it does fall right onto it's torque band though.

@Intelpentium54321 Well, I'm not the best driver to really sit and judge, but for a sedan it's pretty good. It understeers as expected. But compared to my 5.0 Mustang, the suspension is fairly soft and will bottom out at around 95 on rough highway/lake roads where as the Mustang won't until around 120. A lot more body roll than the Mustang as well. But for a fwd sedan it's pretty balanced. A little too much body roll for my taste and kinda front end heavy, even for a fwd car. But not bad.

It's not short-shifting, that's the way they were designed to shift. The SHO has a torque curve from about 4.5K to about 6K RPM, it's actually going faster than if it went to redline.

i dont know. i see what your saying, but i think it could sacrifice a little speed in 2nd by holding the revs longer (say 6500-6800) so by time it shifts to 3rd the revs fall more in the powerband. see what im saying?
but im not saying your wrong, it probably does make more torque from 4.5k to 6k. i wish it were a stick so i could try it both ways and play around =]
