Rasbora Hengeli

Glowlight Rasbora.

Scientific name (currently) Trigonostigma hengeli.

Tight schooling. This is not stress schooling. These fish are in school all day long, and never stop moving. Perhaps I should get 20 or 30 more. Certainly their schooling tendency is no less than rummy nose tetras. These were purchased at Clark's Feed n Seed in Bellingham 3 days ago.

Pardon the algae. The tank has only been set up for 2 weeks, and I was glad to see it, because it means cycling has just about finished. It also means I need a new CO2 needle valve because it is malfunctioning and shutting off every day, and the plants also ran out of iron and started turning yellow. That was just corrected today.

@RuggedLike I also use excel for Algae suppression. It is a weak form of formaldehyde, not a carbon supplement as the label claims.

@RuggedLike Do you mean the green algae? This resolved with sufficient plant cover. For iron, I throw in a dash of regular garden variety iron chelate. It clouds the water only briefly. I use the Tom Barr method of replacing a large volume of water weekly, usually half the tank, and put in epsum salts, Tropica master grow, drops of a sodium phosphate (from an over the counter enema). There are calculators online for an exact recipe for the Tom Barr method. Don't have a link right now.
