This is our submission for the 2009 Computer Graphics rendering competition at ETH Zurich. Everything shown in the video was rendered in a self-written raytracer by my collegue and me.

  • The water is simulated using the simple wave differential equation.

    I did write a solver for the shallow water equations (which give more realistic, sharper waves) but I didn't have the time to port it to our raytracer before the deadline :(

  • Looks really good! The water does seem to be a bit dense, but its still good overall.

  • @ProperSauce agree, looks more like some sort of jelly :S
