I've did it. Learned it in Melee.

Kinda funny how the Cape can be used to glide, since that's what it's was originally for in Super Mario World
-
its great to get the full girth of a cape glide then U-air for edgecamping, or fludding flying characters sticking to the far screen
-
I think all of the advanced moves for Mario are too hard for anyone to learn until they have a solid mastery of Mario. I mean with the exact timing and precision it would take to pull this off... I wonder if it's even applicable in regular play.

@corn90000 My thoughts exactly.

Hey Fire Mario! I bet you can't wait for the new smash game for the 3ds and Wii U. I can't wait to see how the new mario be.
-
it also works with donkey kong headbutt but its range is smaller by a little
-
the cape is so good it should be it's own playable character

man your videos are awesome, too bad my main is lucas. Is those videos were in lucas form then I would be so freaking happy to find this goldmine with videos ;D
May I just add something here? If you have a fully charged F.L.U.D.D., you can jump immediately after performing a Cape Glide and use it. The recoil from the fully charged one coupled with a Super Jump Punch when you've completed it should allow you to return to the stage safely. You need to be careful, though. If the glide is too small, Mario may end up underneath the lips of some stages when he uses F.L.U.D.D. or the Punch.

I never thought about using FLUUD Boost that way. I might use this.
Thanks!
