I can see the influences resident evil and silent evil had on castlevania 64. This version of castlevania's monsters are the creepiest in castlevania history.

Because you listened to the anti CV 3d garbage that the purists were spouting. Having said that, this and LoD are the only two 3D CVs worth mentioning. I love the 2D games but the N64s deserve much praise.
