I want a border collie SO badly, but it would be cruel to keep one in our backyard. Maybe when I have my own place.
Good work on training Star; know matter how smart the dog is, it takes great effort from the owner to see that kind of progress.

love the vid,well trained ,i have three male dogs and just wondered if bitches are easyer to train as i find mine can be a handful at times but with one being a rescue he just backs of and one is just to over active but i do have results with him but can be a bit crazy at times ,the other is just my shadow now as he is getting old lol,

@YoungSurvivalNW I too, want a border collie but my dad says we live in small place and it wouldn't work out ,I still would do anything to get a puppy collie!

My border collie doesn't know anything like this but she knows directions which is always fun

She's absolutely precious and you are a fabulous trainer. You are both obviously having a good time, so I don't know how you trained her but i'm sure it was with lots of love.

i want a border collie so bad, im 12, i LOVE your star vids, i cant have a bc yet becuas my family has a small back yard, and i live in 2 houses, mom and step dad devorsed, 4 siblings, bilogical dad in iraq so im going to have 3 houses soon, but when i get 18 -22, i WILL have a bc, im thinking inernet collage to spend time with her, yes its going to be a girl, i have a small chance of haveing one when my dad comes back, any advise? please repliy, I LOVE BORDER COLLIES

@YoungSurvivalNW I'm glad you understand about waiting for the right time for a BC, I had many other wonderful dogs before this one. Please pick the best college for your future, you
can get a BC after that! I know of people in school that have them in an Apt., just hard but they still give them a lot of exercise. I recommend taking them to obedience classes and if you have time agility is fun.
I know you must be proud of your Dad, I hope he is home soon!

Does she respond to hand signals, or just verbal command? Or does she understand both?

She understands both, I think she prefers the hand signals so she doesn't have to listen to me
