When your body and mind, are totally convinced that you are about to perish, your adrenal gland in your medulla, releases large amounts of the neurotransmitter Epinephrine, (otherwise known as 'adrenaline') into the bloodstream. This produces a euphoric experience some refer to as a "Rush".

But most importantly, the moments after your 'near-life experience' are the most profound. The moments and minutes contain so much more meaning and value after something like that.

I will ask you to refer to my favorite scene in the movie "Fight Club" , where Brad Pitt holds a gun to a random guys head and elaborates on this 'Heightened sense of Life Appreciation' following such experiences.

- "..tomorrow, that man`s breakfast will taste Better than any breakfast You or I have ever had.."

  • WOW! Thank you for taking me on that ride down the waterfall!!

What a magical place!! Is the water cold? :))

  • This place is very dear to me, mother nature has 'sculpted' these beautiful rock formations with her fast flowing waters, and some of them are so unique and beautiful.

yes, the stream is spring/glacial fed, so it`s only warm enough to comfortably swim in, during the hottest summer months. We get 42 degree (105 ferenheight +) days here in august so the brisk waters feel very nice and refreshing after a long hike on the desert plateau to get there.

    with love and light,

    Gavin

  • Wow! I didn't know it gets that hot in BC! Yes...that would feel quite refreshing!!

I also didn't know there is a desert plateau, either! I'd better brush up on my Canadian geography, eh?!! lol :))

Definitely on my list of places to visit!!

  • yaa, but don`t feel bad, i meet people from vancouver don`t even know BC has a desert, lol..= )

yes, here in the South Okanagan, it`s a micro climate, a full blown desert, it`s the most northern tip of the great Sonoran desert, we`ve got cacti, rattle snakes, scorpians....such a unique and beautiful piece of Earth.

ya, The Desert Wine Country is such a wonderful 'summer getaway location'. Lotsa amazing wineries, fresh fruit, and lakes to swim in.

    with love and light,

    -Gavin

  • Cacti, rattle snakes, scorpians???!!! OMG! I never wold have guessed...
