USC was hardly recruiting Best, remember USC signed both Joe Mcknight and Marc Tyler that year the consensus #1 and #2 running backs in the nation for the 2007 class, along with Broderick Green. There was no reason for USC to take another back, especially since they were already loaded with 5-stars at the position. Carroll backed off of Best after Tyler and Green committed early to focus solely on Mcknight. So USC actually passed on Best, obviously it was a mistake though.

  • Racist!

  • I hope he's no Jamere Holland.

  • yeah, but he play wide receiver

  • He reminds he of J. Best of Cal, similar in that they past on USC and won state in the 100 and 200m.

  • it was a fantastic idea!!!

  • I think that was a good idea, what do you think?
