After the deadly earthquake in Sichuan on May 12, 2008, Chen Ci, a young teacher from Guangxi joined the rescue team and helped to conduct classes for the children whose schools are collapsed during earthquake. Noticing the insufficient education resources in this region, he organized summer camps for young university volunteers to teach in rural schools. This organization is named "Alma Anta".
