Dear New Muslim, a straight forward set of advice to new Muslim converts from Musa Maguire. A convert to Islam himself, Musa outlines the key items new Muslims should focus on after accepting their faith.
It is important that Christians walk the way of Jesus and obey his commandments, before attempting to befriend a Muslim. How can a Christian defend his faith when his/her daily life is out of order? If the Christian and Muslim way of life mirrors then the light of God will shine out, showing the path of truth,
@residentmich1 there is a lot of difference between the phrase " sun sets in muddy water" and the phrase " it appears that the sun is setting in muddy water"
the first phrase is a fact (correct or incorrect)
the second is an experience (doesnt have to be correct)
@residentmich1 when mr x( someone) tells me " i found the sun set near the hills", and when i relate this to another person mr y . I would say something like this
" Mr x found the sun set near the hills" . Does not have to do anything with facts or figures about sunset or sunrise
@ManInControI Several of the historical versus in the old testament have similar phrases. They are claimed to be from GOD. When you look at it objectively, as to what muhammad was trying to establish in arabia (A FINAL DEFEAT TO IDOLATRY). Even abraham and moses ordered assassinations of the people (idolators) who disobeyed them. This was considered a final way to get rid of the idolatry. As they heard but did not listen.
If u read the original arabic version of the Quran in the same surah it says that King Zulqarnain FOUND the place where the sun sets . Please inform me Mr Atheist where this place is that
AKA Alexander the Great found where the sun sets? The place where it "appears to" set in mud.
@ManInControI GREEDY POWER HUNGRY WARLORD???? Even an atheist like myself who studied islamic history would never consider muhammad as a power hungry warlord. He was offered power and fame and dominance over the tribe of qureish several times in return for him to stop preaching. His famous response is recorded as follows " Even if they put the moon in my left hand and the sun in my right, I will not stop preaching the one god"
@residentmich1 Lol me being an atheist can understand this phrase properly. Let me relate the actual verse to you . The arabic word "wajada" is used in this phrase which means "appears to" . In the 21st century, we most commonly use the phrase sunset and sunrise, when we clearly know the fact that the sun does not set, nor does it rise. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND THE LITERARY ASPECT OF THIS PHRASE "APPEARS!!!!"
greetings from Jakarta Indonesia....salam alaykom brother.May Allah meet us in Heaven Insha Allah..

@athiest97 So you are saying as an atheist you have more time for Muhammad and his Nazi cult than you do the two Abrahamic religions?
I’m not sure what your point is.

@athiest97 He also told his followers...
“He who obeys the messenger obeys Allah”(Quran 4.80)
“Anyone who opposes the massager will burn in hell” (quran 4.115)
The only saying of the faithful believer is that they say “we hear and we obey” (Quran 24.51)
“Whatever booty you may capture a fifth of it belongs to Allah and the messenger” (Quran 8.41)
The words of God? Or a power hungry megalomaniac?
