The $175,000 Ferrari F430 combines a 490-horsepower V8 and a svelte 3,200-pound curb weight to deliver zero-to-60 mph sprints of about 3.5 seconds. For their "sportiest and most passionate clients," however, Ferrari has concocted the lighter, faster, more powerful F430 Scuderia. More carbon fiber and fewer creature comforts contribute to a 220-pound weight reduction, while 20 additional horsepower and even more cutting-edge racing technologies further distinguish this race-ready road rocket. The F430 Scuderia can be expected early in 2008 with a Prancing Horse-worthy starting price in the low $200,000 range.
