An attempt at creating some RT Spectralis guides/walkthroughs, as well as show some of the more in-depth features of the Spectralis. This tutorial only utilizes drum parts and filters and is only a small glimpse of some of the things you can do with this incredible machine.

Parts of the tutorial:

Making a drum beat:

    Thanks! I really appreciate it!

The Tempest looks very interesting, and has 6 real analog oscillators. The drums used here are all stock samples, though they are routed through real analog filters (it generates some cool sounds!) My other video tutorial shows how you can use just one oscillator to make some interesting beats and sounds. I think there's not too many synths/groove boxes that compare to the spectralis (even with its bugs). If you have any questions, email me!

    Thanks for watching!

    Thanx, great vid !

Spectralis is amazing, don't get put off by bugs/unfinished OS, it can do soooo much and I haven't found any bugs that stop me from creating cool, unique sounds and grooves.

the problem with what you see reguarding DSI Tempest is that it has a lot of facility for doing this sort of glitchy click hop stuff in real time that is like Autechre , Aphex Twin or dub step, and if your not into that kind of thing, and IM NOT into that kind of thing: all the youtube demo stuff on the DSI looks like shit, because thats all these demo peeps are doing... I went to Noisebug and played one in person, trust me you can do amazing shit on the DSI, that Iam NOT seeing on youtube
