I have mining leases that I've owned for a while. I read your articles on transferring business real property into SMSFs. I think my Super would benefit if I could transfer a mining lease or two into my SMSF. Just imagine if I make a find and sell it off at only 15% tax. That would be very nice indeed.
Does a mining lease qualify as business real property? And are there any other qualifications to get around the in-house assets rule?
