  • The Viper FilmStream gives shoots in RAW

the RAW file or image in this case contains all the color information. Therefor does not come with a Lut or LOOK.

The FilmStream camera system is delivering an RGB 4:4:4 10-bit log output—uncompromised by electronic camera signal processing—to a field recorder.

    Hope that helps.

  • I have worked wit the Panasonic cameras and Sony cams, Viper and SI.

    Lately

I have been working with the new RED Camera and that thing is the best out on the market. HANDS DOWN. unless you are shooting 35MM FILM

    My vote goes to RED.

EASY work flow beautiful results 4K and 2K

    Just wonderful over all.

viper data rate i think was 220MBPS you must have a strong RAID ARRAY.

fiber channel and lots of drives space.

    AJA Kona CARD

    hope that helps

  • MUNICH ROCKS!!!

What can I say about the Viper?

Umm beautiful results, kind of a bare to work with. Tethered to an HDCAM SR $300,000+ Deck sucked. [Maybe its more than that I dont know]

The green haze SUCKS BIG TIME. But that is there look in RAW.

  • How big is the sensor in the viper? Just curious about what kind of depth of field it produces.

  • Having worked on a number of films over the years,i would watch the dailys of the previous days work, like I did on Godfather part two and Bound for glory. I was even lucky in those early

days to meet Garrent Brown, the inventor of the Stedicam.I remember Garrent telling me old Hal is giving me a chance shooting the pickup shots

and the background and if he liked what he saw he would put it into the film. Well today i guess 95

percent of stedicam footage is used in all TV and

    film.

  • When i went to see David Finchers zodiac,i enjoyed very, very much. I grew up in the Sunset

district of San francisco. ican still remember when the case was hot. 37 yrs later in manhattan i was reading a film magazine and it wasnt until i read that story that i learned that Fincher shot the entire film on a Viper spread, along with doing his post on Final Cut Pro!

I was really blown away, the whole time watching the film i thought it was shot on a 35mm Panavision.

  • neato.. I want one ahahahah

  • nice work. the Viper is crazy weird before color... I understand why... but wow.

  • That's footage from the Viper? 2K?

Is the green tint because of FilmStream?

  • Realy nice work!
