Lewis had 5 seizures in 4 hours. I video-ed 4 of them. The quality isnt very good. They are all left side seizures, he was unconscious and had been asleep (as is normal for his seizures).

  • I work at a day care center and just witnessed a 21/2 yr. old have a sezuire today. The mother DID NOT tell us that she was prone to them, and we were in shock when the child started to have one out of no where. Do you usually lay your son on his side when he starts to have a sezuire like some first aid vids have old me to do, or do you lay your child on his back/whatever positon he was in when it started? I would just like to know what you recommend from a mom with experience. thanks. ;D

  • Thanks for your message. I have to lie Lewis on his side as he cannot move and has increased secretions so on his back he could drown/choke on secretions and on his back he would suffocate. I would always recommend on the side for a child having seizures unless they are seated in an upright position in specialist seating in which case I would leave them in the seating to be safe. I do hope the little boy at your daycare centre doesnt have many more x

  • Did his nocturnal seizures start out as violent twitches befor progressing over time into these?

  • Hello, he twitches all the time (which started gradually as he first got ill). His first seizures were, yes, big violent spasms on one side or other of his body which came 6-8 weeks apart. Hope that helps. Please message us through Lewis' website if you want to talk about anything in more detail.

  • FOR INFORMATION - Lewis seizure protocol is rescue medication after a 5 minute seizure and hospital admission for any seizures following within 12 hours. He has no protocol for cluster seizures as he usually only has seizures once or twice a month.
