Alex Ross is such a phenomenal artist. Many people have commented about comic books being an art form, but Ross's work makes such an assertion have some real credibility. His paintings capture the human experience as accurately as any Norman Rockwell painting. His superheroes seem very real. They seem to occupy a very real space and seem to have real weight. The best comic books transport you to another world, and Ross's art does that better than the art of any other comic book illustrator.
