Ronnie has changed his story a million times as to what happened on the night of the murders. Here are a few of his stories: it was a mafia hit, Dawn killed everyone and he killed Dawn in self defense. He overheard them contemplating on killing him and he decided to get them before they got him. And last, he claimed he was possessed by an Indian Chief's spirit who wanted them off his land.

The Lutzes lost everything including 2K down payment on the home, they came out of the ordeal in debt and were not the recipient of the profits from book and movies.

The same thing almost happened to me, Demons tried to make me kill my family as well.
I think what really happened is Demons did make Ronnie kill his family but the rest was made up.

"Night the Defeos Died" claims that the Lutzes knew the Defeos and were trying to spring Ron D. from prison or get a new trial. Thanks for posting this! CSICOP ranks A.H. among the top 10 hoaxes ever. Imagine!

"Night the Defeos Died" is a total sham, based on the memories of DeFeo's "wife", who had never even met him back then!
