@electricbayonet2 ..now the knight is my 2nd choice of his possible father..he has been helping him since the day of griffiths betrayal..and has aided him on several occassions..even suggested giving the berserk armor..he once wore..to him...now he might see a kindered soul...fighting back against the evil..or could there be more....a father trying to give his son a fighting chance???...we'll find out in future issues..either way it's one heckuva ride!!!

@electricbayonet2 or with people who deal with satanic forces....otherwise kill them in a normal fashion...sword lance mace battle axe...2 since childhood guts has had a recuring dream of being chased by a huge demonic monster..you never see his fave or form..just that he is blood red....remember that scene in the anime???? kinda reminds me of zodd...and the way guts goes into berserker battle mode (w/'o the armor)..like zodd who relishes battle. guts even said he'd rather be in battle

@electricbayonet2 i agree the skull knight is the 1st emperor....(was that kingdom..or empire..truly called midland..doubt it...) i believe he was offered the same choice....by the godhand...same as zodd...he refused..or fought back....zodd accepted....i believe the 2 were once friends....brothers??? perhaps....either way..they have a past..now my thinking that guts is poss one of thier sons is this....the village where guts was found was massacred..the people hung..1 way to deal with witches

@1942PANTHERV I sincerely doubt that Zod is related to him, and the Skull Knight is pretty clearly Gaiseric (first emperor of Midland, once wore the berserker armor).

The Skull Knight and Zod are opposites, but eerily similar as a result. They both forfeited their humanity to augment their abilities, even if they were for very different reasons. At the end of the day, Guts might have avoided traveling Zod's path, but he's squarely on the Skull Knight's now.

@electricbayonet2 true..he may have even become lik,e zod.....just killing randomly for sheer pleasure......puck saved him...so did his new companions...he may not admit it..but they are his heart..and he will defend that speacial part..with his entire being.....(ok...here's a question for you....i thinkeither zod or the skeletal knight is his father..what do you think)

@1942PANTHERV Yep. Remember what he was like before he had any companions, post Band of the Hawk? Even after he got Puck, his fight with Rosine basically spelled out that Guts was more monstrous than most of the *actual monsters* he fought.

He was the Black Swordsman: the one-eyed terror with a blade that no man should have been able to wield, before whom even demons begged for mercy.
