2nd brief excerpt of the commentary for "The Crow: Stairway To Heaven" TV series, where Mark Dacascos thanks The Crow fans and acknowledges Brandon Lee's work. (This is still from "The Soul Can't Rest", the first part of the pilot)

AT THE END OF COMMENTARY FOR EPISODE #2, MARK DACASCOS HINTS AT RUMORS FOR A WRAP UP TV MOVIE & BRYCE ZABEL ADDS OR MAYBE A SECOND SEASON BUT WE AREN'T TOLD WHAT TO DO AS FANS TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Do they need more DVD sales? Do they need us to write the networks? We're left in the dark and vaguely hopeful....

One thing I found interesting in this commentary was what seemed like a contradiction with the published magazine article (also included in this DVD set as PDF file) where Mark Dacascos is quoted as saying the series' demanding schedule and its intensity was draining his spirit, and that he didn't think he could have gone on more than another season. In the commentary however, he says that he had a great time and loved doing the series.The two feelings are probably not mutually exclusive--one can feel many different things about one's job, depending on the day--and it's great that in the commentary Dacascos, remembers quite fondly doing the show and playing Eric Draven.

Throughout this commentary, Mark Dacascos comes across as very humble and appreciative, not only towards the fans & Bryce Zabel for the opportunity he was given to star in this awesome TV series, but also towards the rest of the cast & crew for their phenomenal talent & contributions to the series. Humility is a rare quality to find in any Hollywood actors, let alone someone as talented as Mr. Dacascos is. It is quite refreshing to hear him speak and this alone makes it well worth the price of the DVD set (which is already quite reasonably priced!) He also has a great sense of humor. Thanks Mark Dacascos & Bryce Zabel for this legacy!

You cannot watch the DVD commentary on Hulu, or the gag reel etc. only the show. The real fans are the ones who buy the DVD.

I already have both the Dutch and the US versions, plus the Japanese DVDs - I might even have a few VCDs ..

Mark does seem like a great guy, doesn't he!? I can't get over how humble he comes across. There is something to be said for a man who is generous with his appreciation and gratitude!

Does the Dutch or Japanese DVDs have some extras that we don't have? (Japan? I had no idea! Is it dubbed in Japanese? LOL at the thought...)

Thanks serria! Yes a wrap up movie will be great! They HAVE to make it. But I'd prefer season 2! :-) I mean Iron Chef? WTF? Mark be Eric again! LOL! Ok, I'm trying to upload part of the production dailies with Mark dodging bullets at full speed. It's amazing to see the raw footage unedited! I keep losing connection, hopefully tonight. Yes, please do! At the end of the final commentary Mark mentions rumors of the TV movie finally being made and Bryce mentions the possibility of season 2. The DVD sales can only help the producers shell out the dough! :-)

Its very nice to know i'm not the only one who loves this series i will have pick the dvd of this series sometime soon.
