I'm thinking of making a Madcat but I don't know where to start. I would like the legs to work like these but sadly I have little knowledge on construction and only have cardboard at the disposal but any help would be appreciated :)

Personally, I'd suggest going for the non-chicken-leg style of costume. An easy one would be an Atlas, and I absolutely love the details you've put into these.
