i never knew there was a horse named secretariat until i watched the movie.. boy was he an amazing horse. i only wish i could have seen him race.. secretariat, you are one hell of a horse

There will never be a horse like him ..he ran on clouds and had wings to carry him faster and further than any other mere mortal horse.

Poor Angle Light. It seems this race, he pulled a Sham.

While no one can doubt Big Reds greatness his stablemate Angle Light was a very good horse himself. He was always intended to be the 'rabbit' but was a damn game horse himself. Imagine having those 2 horses and Riva Ridge in the same stable as well. Banner year for Meadow Stable.

Thank you, sir. I still watch with wonder when Secretariat makes his powerhouse rushes to the lead; they never cease to amaze me.

Thanks for posting cf. 35 yrs ago this marvelous horse forever left his mark on/in racing. On Sat(10-4) it will be 19 yrs. since he left us. He's as popular today as he was then. We'll not see anything close to him again!!! Keep the videos coming.

You're welcome, sir. Ah, I wish this were the elusive missing video, but it's the 1972 Laurel Park Futurity that I'm ever looking for. Hopefully, it will turn up someday, somehow. I've learned that it was destroyed in a fire, but I pray that those details are erroneous.
