Also just mention that at least have advantage of playing harmonica for many years but mainly blues style but getting bored and not achieving any results so harmonica tutor suggested some old Aussie folk tunes and Jigs to keep interest.Wife bought me for 40th many years ago an old Hohner 114 model in G and just recently purchased a near new 1040 model in G also and just love the sound of the single row models but left hand chords a challenge .Ian

@iantheo1 Hi: I learned the tune by ear. Unfortunately I have not seen this one written down. I'm sure it is written somewhere, but I just don't know about it. :)

Thanks. It seems to me that you're playing a cajun melodeon. The only one's I've seen for sale so far are in C. I am thinking about buying one. For Irish music do you think D is better? There are some reels in Em and Am that I particularly want to play . Any suggestions?

Hi! Yes, for Irish music these days, "D" is a better choice for a one row. Beyond the one row are two rows mostly played in keys of B/C, C#/D and some other combinations. I'm a C#/D player as well. You're right, these boxes are also used in Cajun music, but Cajuns usually have the reeds tuned a little differently. Now these are just my opinions, others will certainly differ with me. :)

@kieranmc29 Hi! I also play a C#D, so it's not that much of a strech. :)
