CanyonLakeTX: Your ignorance far exceeds your intelligence. Your video is plucking insane.
CanyonLake. This is material from Stephen Colbert. Colbert takes the ignorance & insanity of religion (among other topics), exaggerates it, and then embraces it with a passionate vengeance. It's called SATIRE. That's why it's on Comedy Central.

Stephen did not write that book, his staff of writers did. He puts his name on it and they split the profit.
I take back my prior comment I did not understand what you were reading.

The comedy is all Stephen Colbert - I'm just reciting excerpts from his book. As for my field, my background is music: see the video I uploaded today - a gospel piano / blues harp / atheistic analysis of the song "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." (Title: "Fear of death: the wishful oomph to the god hypothesis.")

Thank you!

The most surprising thing about that chapter is that Stephen Colbert says he is a Catholic who just believes that it's ok to question the church.
Although in my opinion, that just makes his satirical jabs at his deity more ironic and hilarious.
Nice Colbert impression by the way.

That kind of thing amazes me about many Catholics -- they feel free to ridicule the church, but still believe enough to call themselves Catholic.

Thanks!
