Last episode! Put the motor back into the car. Engine turns!

The motor is running on SAE30 break-in oil by AmsOil for a few hundred KM to allow the piston rings to seal properly. So far, no oil burning and runs fine. The only adjustment may be a cam clearance issue on cylinder #4 that ticks a bit too loud. Will solve that by changing the shim-bucket under the cam.

  • question why was the throttle body coolant hole not put back ..

next if you don't mind what do you do for a living to get and build a GTR ..

  • @Deathfox11 The throttle body coolant channel is only present on the 1st year 2009 model. On the later models, the hose barb is removed and plugged. I used a rubber hose plug to block off the lines, and removed the coolant lines for it as they are not necessary

  • Excellent work. Many thanks for the tip in the earlier episode about AP's ISR treatment for the oil pump. For such a high performance platform I've long thought the build quality of the factory setup seemed shortsighted at best. I was pleased to see there's a reasonable alternative to rolling my own billet solution -- provided the existing wear is still within reasonable tolerances. Cheers.

  • @erzbischof9 Thanks. The ISF finish is indeed good value when the potential alternatives are considered. AP is the only shop offering this service for the GT-R afaik.

  • Just finished watching all your build vids and enjoyed every single one! Do you think you could make a in car video of a test drive or a lap around a track?

  • @a97b18b Thanks for watching the vids! The car is stored for the winter months. I will follow up with some track videos in a couple months!

  • Awesome video mate! Hope to see more soon!

  • very nice, so how much power did it put down?

  • @fxvela Thanks. The car has an upgraded AMS intercooler, and the transmission has an upgraded 1st gear, center diff, oil pump and clips. All good to handle the power!

  • and I can't wait to start working on it. Great Built enjoy it every bit of it........I have only one question, am assuming that you have an intercooler setup worthy of that motor. Because you built an 1000 to 1300whp motor and a monster intercooler is a most. How about the tranny? Saludos Amigo.
