  • Ketey... they did a great job to memorize it. The poem itself doesn't invite much intonation... the monotone contributes to his tone of depression and anxiety. I'm sure others could do different interpretations but these girls did a great job for their class project.

  • I agree with Kateycoo. I don't mean to be a hater (because, I'm not one). There is a lot to be said about the way the reader recites this poem -- the enjambment, the cadence, the rhythm. Surely there is a number of different ways to recite the poem, but these girls seemingly choose none of them (which is okay for a class project; it is a hard poem to memorize). And, I disagree with you in that there is more than one way to vary one's voice. For the circumstance, these girls did quite well.
