Never forget buying Men From Earth on glorious vinyl in a bargain bin of my local department store (El Corte Inglés) for a mere 20 pesetas...¡1977!, my 16 candles in a dream-like haze of Country-rock and The Beatles, with The Jam and The Buzzcocks close to invade my brain...This fantastic tune has been since a favorite of mine on par with You Know Like I Know, If I Only Knew, Mr. Powell, Moon Is On The Rise, Spaceship Orion, Jackie Blue, Leatherwood... Long Live OMDaredevils, Viva Larry Lee!!!

Man, oh man, how relevant these lyrics are today. From a song written 35 years ago!! "There are people preaching their gods to me"... Larry Lee, you are so very underrated as a songwriter and as a singer, too. "I think it's only fair that we should all be asked to share"...indeed. I would like to think that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would have just loved this song. This song is a great example of the power of music. "Why do we look away"....

All I know these men have saved my life more than once and the strength of the music and the down to earth honesty of their words have held me together for over 30 yrs and i pray they have continued success and health . I have been dead 3 times and suicidal 2 times and every time their great music and words of realism have brought me back to be the man I am today

love the base at the end

This song is as close to perfect as is humanly possible. :) This song never has appeared on any of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils compilation albums -- BUT IT SHOULD HAVE!!! Great lyrics.

I have lost count how many times I've seen these guys live. You should see how many people come to thier concerts and almost always outdoor concerts.
Bikers from all over the states, locals and everyone in between.
Great song and thanks for sharing.
