@DarkArtistKaiser and brink wasnt broken. It just didnt like ATi graphics drivers. Not ID`s fault. To fix this AMD launched the cat 11.11b drivers which solved the texture fill rate issues, mostly.

@DarkArtistKaiser Well someone hasnt been keeping up... The launch was not down to the developer but the publisher. It was due to be held but the publisher authorised steam to launch and steam went ahead and posted what they had, the sots2 beta. Kerberos then uploaded the unfinished, but none the less more updated version in a vain effort to give people a stable build. They have patched every week relentlessly, and they have given full free DLC in november 11 & free SOTS1 keys.

I agree, but the problem is, this game was shipped as broken as it was and they knew it was broken. In many ways, the reviewers were right to blast the game for this. Had the game been held and worked on, this whole mess would of been avoided.
I recall Brink shipped out as it was, and to apologize, the first dlc was free. I hope they do the same for this game, I may get it then.

I don't care if its graphics are on par with Battlefield 3. If I can't play it, it does not change that its a mess. Ive yet to hear anyone saying this game is fixed. If this is how the companies behind this game is going to do their business, than I will buy no more from them.

You sound like Maurice Moss in IT Crowd. =) It's awesome

in at the end of FEBURARY IT SHOULD BE PERFECTLY PATCHED :))) i still suggest you dont buy it now because youd lose time with bugs

@Timebender100 dont ignore the game. Its the best graphics engine ive seen in a long time. Buy it at the end of january. You can get it off amazon for peanutts and it does no harm to support an indie games studio who made this from love more than money.
1) the play book at kerberos clearly stated to the public that the game would take a further 8 weeks from launch due to a cock up with the steam launch (hence why you cant buy hard copies of SOTS2 at present).
2) the games already a damn site better than the nov 30th build
3) to say nothing has changed when it is being updated daily and has been given firm commitment from the Kerberos team who are pulling 14 hour days is unfare & wrong.
4)come back to it in January and review it again.

@locutus12 As you say there has been patches almost everyday and i have no doubt the devs are commited but i feel that the simple loading time needs to be fixed, I would love to do a proper ammount of coverage for this game but i feel the quailty would be effected by the loading times

@MassAirshow Here is where you lose me, I could accept you experiencing load time issues with the initial release and a good few patches after, but I have to say if your still experiencing load lag between screens, it is not the game.
My system:
Q6600 Quad Core @ 3.2GHz
8 gig DDR3
ATi 5870HD 1 Gb DDR5
Windows 7 Ultimate.
we are playing 200+ turn multiplayer games all week, we get no load lag between menus.

@locutus12 In reply to that i will say i'm Running
Intel i5 Quad Core @ 3.33GHz
8GB of DDR3 RAM
nVidea 460 GTX
Windows 7 HP
so pretty much the same i ahve no idea why it loads like that
