( R E A D D E S C R I P T I O N )

I've been going through a serious case of writers block, so I apologize ahead of time if the episodes aren't all that. I'm trying to push through it! :-)

[[ Episode 11 Part 1 ]]
2 WEEKS....
We arrived at the airport 15 minutes before our flight was to board, which in turn meant that checking in and going through security was complete chaos. As we made our way to the gate, Ella began complaining of a stomach ache. She went from walking quickly to practically dragging her feet until she stopped at a nearby garbage can, letting out her entire breakfast.

"Are you okay?" Jesse asked, looking on in disbelief.

"I'm fine," she insisted, "I guess the Egg McMuffin didn't sit right with me."

She wiped her mouth with a Wet Nap and popped a piece of gum into her mouth, grabbing her suitcase and continuing on to the gate. There was only 2 minutes left until they closed the gate and we had no idea where we were at.

"This is the last call for Flight 817 to Lake Tahoe, I repeat this is the last call for Flight 817." a flight attendant announced on the intercom.

With just one minute left until the gate closed, we handed our tickets to the flight attendant who looked annoyed at our late arrival and raced onto the plane to get our seats.

"It feels so nice to finally sit down." Milo confessed.

"I didn't even get the chance to put my belt back on," Leo responded, "I'm surprised my pants didn't fall to the ground."

We let out a small chuckle, thankful we hadn't missed our flight. But that was just one of the small obstacles we had overcome, I'm sure there were many more to come.

"Welcome to Flight 817 to Lake Tahoe," an obnoxiously perky flight attendant announced, "We have one stop before we arrive which will be in Denver, Colorado. Enjoy your flight!"

Smiles spread across our faces as the plane began to move, finally a chance to get away from Cape May and enjoy ourselves! Hopefully.

"Were you planning on stopping by your apartment in Los Angeles?" Hayden leaned over and whispered.

"No way," I responded, "This is a vacation!"

3 HOURS LATER....
After 3 hours of babies crying, an older woman hacking up her lungs, and a young teenage girl constantly questioning me about my acting career, we arrived in Denver, Colorado.

"I've got to pee!" Ella exclaimed, racing to the bathroom beside our terminal.

"Me too, wait up!" Hayden responded.

I looked around, trying to see if there was any place that served coffee. I was dying for some caffeine, I had been practically drained of all my energy.

"Do any of you want some coffee," I asked, looking on as Leo, Milo, and Jesse nearly passed out on the terminal seats, "I think that place near the restrooms serves coffee."

"I'm okay." Milo responded.

"Me too." Jesse agreed.

"I can go for a cup." Leo responded.

He stood up and kept me company as we walked to the coffee shop. Leo was one of the few guys I knew that was practically like a brother to me, he was so warm and so loving! It was no wonder why Hayden loved him so much.

"I have something I need to talk to you about." Leo said, grabbing my arm and pulling me aside.

"Can we talk about it while we wait in line?" I asked.

"It'll be quick," he responded, "I wanted to show you this before Hayden came out of the restroom."

He reached into his jacket pocket pulling out a small blue box that was wrapped in a blue bow.

"What is that?!" I exclaimed.

"Shhhh," he whispered, "It's an engagement ring."

"Is.... is that a Tiffany's box?" I stuttered.

"Yes," he responded, "I've taken my last two paychecks and put the down payment on this ring, I was even late on my rent to pay for this!"

"Can I see it?" I asked curiously.

"No," he responded, "You have to wait. But do you think she'll marry me?"

"Are you kidding Leo?! Of course she will!" I exclaimed.

A smile spread across his face as he saw how certain I was when I answered him. My energy spiked instantly as I thought about two of my very best friends getting married. At least the love thing was working out for someone.

TO BE CONTINUED....

XOXO, SAM :)
