How old is the ORTHODOX faith?

http://www.oca.org/
The ORTHODOX Church of America

The saints and holy fathers of the ages past died rather than surrender their faith. Countless martyrs chose death over renouncing Christ in even the smallest way. We hear of martyrs who were told to sacrifice to idols and had burning coals placed in their hands - yet they held these hot coals until their hands burned off rather than throw them before the idols, thus sacrificing to them. Men, women, and even young children were tortured in diverse, cruel and unimaginable ways because they refused to renounce our Lord and Savior. Their stories fill us with awe for their supreme love and unwavering zeal for the faith. The holy fathers are shinning examples of how we ought to protect the faith. They fought and refuted the heresies of Arius, the Iconoclasts, Monophysites, and many others. At the First Council, St. Nicholas of Myra, filled with holy anger, struck the heretic Arius. St. John Chrysostom was exiled for teaching the truth. Many other saints and their heroic deeds for the sake of the church could be mntioned. How precious the faith was to these holy men and women! Let us imitate them as fully as we are able as we strive to hold fast to the Church, the same church for which they willingly gave their lives and sacrificed themselves, and not give way to the ecumenistic spirit that fills the world today.

If we are not of one mind, we are in direct disobedience to the Gospel, to the Church, and to Christ. To be of one mind, we must follow the teachings of and conform ourselves to the ancient Christian Church, the true Church of Christ, the Orthodox Church.

O Holy Lord Jesus Christ, help us to remain steadfast in the holy teachings of Thy church and disallow false ways of believing, thinking and living to corrupt and scatter Thy flock! Grant that we may preserve unsullied the pearl of great price given unto us, keeping it inviolate for all generations to come, through the prayers of Thy most pure Mother and of all the saints. Amen.

Pr. ARSENIE BOCA:

"ECUMENISMUL? Erezia tuturor ereziilor!

# Pr. Gheorge Calciu Dumitreasa: "Eu sunt impotriva ecumenismului! O socot cea mai mare erezie a secolului nostru"

There are, in essence, two levels of ecumenism. In the extreme case, the highest level of ecumenism even encompasses non-Christian faiths. Christians, Jews, Moslems, Hindus, American Indiansthey all unite in worship. These religions do not even claim to worship the same God, and yet they serve together. Venerate both Christ and Buddha as God in one service?! This is impossible! There are appalling videos showing all these different faiths performing their religious ceremonies as part of one big inter-communal service. Then there are those who attempt to join together all Christian religions into one faith. They would be horrified at the idea of a service with Hindus and Christians celebrating together, yet they do not bat an eyelash at the idea of Orthodox celebrating with Roman Catholics, who with no authority broke off from the Church close to a thousand years ago.

  • I'm a traditionalist roman catholic, and I say, the monk is RIGHT.

Ecumenism is an heresy. All Popes condemned it. Than we had the tragedy of the Vatican II: the holy liturgy was destroyed, the Doctrine perverted, the church embraced ecumenism with heretics (protestants), pagans (buddists, muslims) and jews: we're good, you're good, everybody's good.

Traditionalist catholics had to leave this circus.. And follow Mgr. Lefebvre.

May God preserve the Orthodox Church untouched by all modern shits.

  • @EspressoFan4Life Well i would take Kosovo back if i am sure that USA and other NATO shits wont bomb me... -.-

  • i enjoyed this vid

  • very interesting video thanks

  • you have some great stuff here

  • @3SRBIJACCCC If so, why was St Athanasius wrong? Why was St Hilarius wrong? Why were all the Bishops of Spain and Portugal wrong, not under the Visigothic persecution, but when debating about the heretic Priscillian and his followers, under perfectly Roman rule? Why was Pope Leo I wrong, of whom the Council of Ephesus would say "Peter hath spoken through Leo"? These are all older than your Photius, and they all believed the filioque! I believe them, they are Church Fathers.

  • @hglundahl Ye, one more thing, your Filioque is wrong.

  • @3SRBIJACCCC Are you saying Franks invented Filioque, when it was believed by St Hilarius before the Franks conquered Gaul? Are you saying the III Council of Toledo added Filioque to the Nicene Creed with thoughtless innovation in the sixth century, when the I Council of Toledo stated a rule of faith including the word filioque just before 400, under Emperors Honorius and Arcadius? Are you saying that denial of "uncreated energies" is heresy, when Pope Leo I came close to condemning them?

  • @3SRBIJACCCC A Sedisvacantist would of course say the last Popes became enemies of Christ after the death of Pope Pius XII. Some say cardinal Siri was already elected Pope before John XXIII was elected anti-Pope, others say he was so before Paul VI was elected anti-Pope. Some say Paul VI was a true pope, but John Paul I an anti-Pope, the Apostolic See being tranferred to Palmar de Troya, a village outside Sevilla. I was with those guys for 14 months. Sedevacantists agree on period 1950-90. & U?

  • @3SRBIJACCCC When did it become so? Arians became so when Arius blasphemed, and the are gone. They have been revived twice or three times, first by uncle and nephew Sozzini, unless you count Mohamet also as an Arian revival, then by Charles Taze Russell. Luther, Zwingli, Oecolampadius became so in the same year as the Sozzinis and Münzer: they have split up and most Protestants are Atheists or even Buddhists. A few years before 325 for Arius. 1517 for Luther and Zwingli. What year for RC, by U?

  • @hglundahl "Forgive to your personal enemies, but hate and flee from the enemy of the Christ's Church". Roman-Catholic "Church" is an enemy of One True Apostolic Orthodox Church (Christ's Church).

  • @3SRBIJACCCC Now as to "all Orthodox and Protestant Christians hate it" - also untrue. I was a Lutheran, and I did not hate Catholic Church, and some who did not do so either are still Lutheran. I was a Roumanian Orthodox - they might say I was not, since I believed the filioque, but I was with them - and I did not hate the Catholic Church, and some who still are Roumanian Orthodox do not do so either. Hate and prejudice are bad ways of dealing with most things.
