  • And I thought I was being a curmudgeon about all the Christmas lights ... Not only is there the issue of extraneous lighting, but the energy waste, as well.

  • @TaviGreiner ...At least we don't have a 20 foot flashing XMas Elvis nearby (yet!)

  • It's unfortunate the way that people have responded to your video up to this point. It seems like very few people care about light pollution or are even aware that it's a problem. I can't even remember the last time I saw somebody look up at the night sky; I seem to be the only person on my street that does it. Though I would love to live somewhere away from all the light pollution, I'm still grateful for what little I can see in this damn red zone.

  • Cry some more!!!

  • Though I'm all for the idea of dark skies ... it's Christmas, you crazy Californian enviro-terrorist.

  • You know what, that's not a bad idea. I'm gonna make me that Elvis and then use my trusty Light-o-Rama gear to give the mouth a light display to the tune of Elvis classics.

    Thanks for the idea.
